SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT/COMMUNITY MANAGER

The Social Media Content/Community Manager is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. That passion comes through as he/she engages with customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers.

The Social Media Content/Community Manager is instrumental in managing and creating the company’s content-related assets. Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to the role’s success. An essential component is communicating the company’s brand in a positive, authentic way what will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities
– Recommend and set-up preferred Social Media Planning/Management Tools (ie: Hootsuite, SproutSocial, Tailwind, etc.)
– Create and maintain a Content Publishing Calendar
– Assist in the conceptualizing and creation of original, quality branded content (both visual & written)
– Assist in the curation of Repost Content aligned with the established creative content buckets (approval/oversight given by the Founder/Creative Director) & subsequent scheduling and publishing
– Help establish & grow social media platform followings through actively suggesting tactics and identifying strategic opportunities to do so — BOTH organically and potentially through intro-level paid media or influencer partnerships in the near future
– Must establish knowledge of effective strategies and be willing to put in the consequent manual leg work of growing a community without heavy dependence on paid placement opportunities
– Research & collaborate with creative, marketing, & PR network to continually evolve and refine content strategies and media campaigns
– Research top influencers, competitors, and trends within the Client’s industries to help provide strategic insights
– Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan. Drive strategies that are proven by industry best practices, testing and metrics
– Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, influencers, design and strategy

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of digital marketing. Entry level professionals & students with demonstrations of the requisite knowledge also welcome
• Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing/advertising to the analytical side. Able to demonstrate why their ideas, insights, and feedback are analytically sound
• Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platform and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tumblr, Snapchat, Pinterest etc.), how each platform can be deployed in different marketing scenarios. Is readily aware of differences in demographic usage among each platform
• Experience conceptualizing, creating, sourcing, and managing digital content development and publishing
• Experience in editing photographic and image editing software
• Experience in basic photography (for use in social media)
• Experience in social media and/or digital editorial writing (ideally within the lifestyle space)
• Maintains working knowledge of basic SEO principles including keyword research, hashtag usage, and how terms differ on respective Social Media platforms and via Google Analytics
• Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media. (Give links to profiles and/or portfolio as examples)
• Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and advise other employees when deemed necessary

SKILL & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Highly skilled in Social Media & Website/Blogging Platforms – including but not limited to: Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, Snapchat, Squarespace, WordPress, and more
• Proficiency in social media scheduling and analytics software (ex: Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Tailwind, Raidian 6, etc.)
o Please communicate to us which applications you have used (both professionally & personally) and to what proficiency you consider yourself in each if levels differ
• Proficiency in social media hashtag strategies and how they vary from platform to platform
• Proficiency in image editing and requisite software
• Basic photography and photo styling skills
• Working knowledge of social media paid advertising campaigns including Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter
• Working knowledge of varying/specific Mobile specifications in relation social media use

Proficient in following softwares/applications: Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Google Documents (all types), Google Hangouts, Dropbox, at least one of the primary Social Analytics/Scheduling programs
