Marketing Specialist

SUMMARY

We’re looking for an experienced marketer to join our team as Marketing Specialist, with focus on our product marketing and customer marketing. The successful candidate will be proactive in growing and developing our product and customer marketing content in addition to being a support function across marketing. Key areas; develop materials to explain, educate and promote products and tell customer stories to diverse audiences across different media outlets and formats. Maintain company website, create and post fresh content for web, email, digital, and social marketing. Communicate with internal and external audiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES listed below. Other duties as assigned.

Product Marketing and Partner Marketing:
Works with both internal staff and external business customers to seek opportunities for expanding product marketing content and programs including cooperative partner marketing and branding. Cultivates project photos and customer stories, creates and maintains a digital project photo and customer story library. Seeks our logo or brand placement on partner websites where possible, identifies and facilitates potential co-marketing or PR opportunities. Plans and writes content and also sources marketing and promotional content from subject matter experts in-house staff and/ or customer partners. Works with graphic designer to create marketing materials and works with product management to maintain price lists.

Voice of Customer Programs:
Provides content for and helps develop new options voice of customer materials such as referral programs, testimonials, case studies, project profiles, photography, videos, blogs, etc. May guide production distribution for voice of customer materials. Responsible for customer survey programs.

Communications and writing:
Organizes and prepares product content for a variety of outlets. Crafts product messaging for internal and outbound audiences, including web copy, blogs, social media content, and customer stories. Can distill key value propositions, functionality, and benefits into product messages. Develop compelling audience-specific messages and tools (case studies, testimonials, press releases, product videos, demos, how to guides, etc.)

Email marketing: Creates and sends email marketing campaigns.

Website maintenance & digital marketing:
Maintains company website(s), including fresh content posted regularly for projects, photos, blogs, relevant social content or promotions. Maintains company listings on other websites, industries, associations, media promotions, etc. May create landing pages, web forms and other content.

Events:
May work with internal and external contacts to coordinate physical events such as tradeshows, customer events or virtual webinars. Event activities may be from identification and planning through execution and organizing the related brand exposure activity surrounding event.

Tracking & Reporting:
Maintain project lists for self and programs managed to communicate current activities. Provide monthly reports. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of content in marketing communications through quality control, proofing, and data checking.

Other duties may be assigned. Position may require travel up to 10%

The Ideal Candidate has:
⢠Minimum 3+ years of progressive marketing experience in job description functions
⢠Ability to write professional and compelling customer stories, sales copy, blogs, social media posts, email copy
⢠Training and/or experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
⢠Training or experience with WordPress, Shopify, Hootsuite, Exact Target
⢠Proficiency with Google Analytics, SEO/SEM reporting.
⢠Video production experience desirable
⢠An interest in continuous learning, self motivated to keep keeping abreast of new technologies and recommend new opportunities or improvement areas for marketing programs
⢠Self discipline and motivational drive to make projects happen.
⢠Ability to work in virtual team environment

Education & Experience
Specialized certifications or degree in online marketing such as web marketing, content marketing, revenue marketing, inbound marketing or a Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in the areas of Marketing or Communications. Minimum three years related experience and/or training.
