Marketing Coordinator (oakland lake merritt / grand)

We seek a marketing manager who has expertise in both the quantitative and creative aspects of marketing. We’re looking for expertise in PPC, SEO, marketing automation, social network community building (Lionrock’s private, recovery social network), app marketing, and branding. Our marketing manager also needs strong communications skills, written and spoken, and a good sense of design.

This position requires the ability to manage technology and information resources, but we prefer a highly-motivated generalist to someone with deep technical expertise in just a few of these disciplines. We do prefer someone with deep knowledge of addiction and recovery.

Primary Duties:
Creating copy for social media posts and ads
Responding to social media inquiries
Drafting copy for emails
Creating compelling product descriptions for the web
Collaborating with designers/marketing managers/stakeholders
Managing ambassador program
Creating relationships with like-minded brands and facilitating contests and giveaways

Secondary Duties:
Researching/fact checking/creating lists and reports
Organizing/maintaining deadlines/communicating if more time or information is required to complete projects
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Able to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Able to effectively work with outside vendors
Strong project management skills

Education / Previous Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
3+ years of direct response copy-writing experience
1+ years of experience using social media platforms for business (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
1+ years of experience working in an agency or other creative environment

Must possess a positive attitude and outlook
