Communications Coordinator

Duties will include:

Create and manage the SEO strategy and road map, identifying growth opportunities.
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with Google and Bing’s services, including Analytics and Webmaster Tools

Desired skills and experience:

Bachelor’s degree
6+ years of in-house SEO experience with an industry leading website
Experience with industry-standard SEO tools
Experience with Google and Bing’s services, including Analytics and Webmaster Tools
Experience with Google’s Keyword Tool
A functional understanding of HTML and CSS
The ability to work with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization, and related skills
Proven success in link building and viral strategies
The ability to deploy an effective local and long-tail search strategy
A deep understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO
A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO
Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs
A background in creating reports showing web analytics data and site evaluations
An up-to-date, working knowledge of current, past, and projected trends in the SEO industry
Familiarity with the best tools in the trade

The Communications Coordinator is a key member of the communications team that helps develop and implement key communications tactics designed to promote the legacy of Dale Chihuly. This person will interact with both internal teams and external partners to drive consistent messaging across all channels, both traditional and digital. The coordinator will contribute to the development of press releases and associated materials, as well as digital content across the website social platforms.

Chihuly Studio is a fast paced, dynamic environment and we’re looking for a high energy, creative collaborator to help organize and manage communication activities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams to assist with development of communications materials for special projects, exhibitions and Chihuly workshop releases
• Collaborate with internal customers to develop strategy and tactics to ensure success of digital communications
• Work closely with Chihuly exhibitions team and exhibition partners (museums, gardens, etc.) to ensure delivery of appropriate legacy messaging
• Manage the organization’s website; monitor web traffic, manage the content strategy and development, and oversee maintenance
• Work closely with teams on approving usage rights for Chihuly images
• Work closely with videographer and photographer to create a visual story
• Help develop and cultivate a media relations strategy with both national and international press
• Create and evolve detailed calendars for exhibition openings, press tours, book signings, etc.
• Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, email, and social media campaigns
• Design, build, and maintain our social media presence
• Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
• Solid understanding of public relations, marketing, and traditional and social media
• 3 – 5 years’ experience managing social media and digital campaigns that reinforce or build brand equity
• 3 – 5 years’ experience managing email and direct mail marketing campaigns
• 3 – 5 years’ experience writing blog posts, newsletters and ad copy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate a point of view
• Technical knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, metrics, and tracking
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and professionalism when dealing with staff, vendors, customers and the public
• Detail-oriented, organized and capable of handling multiple projects at once
• Ability to be flexible and productive while dealing with ambiguity and rapidly-changing priorities
• Strong project and time management skills to meet event and production deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment both independently and on a team
